MEET OUR COACHES

Joshua Raymond
ABBOTSFORD CLUB COACH

Josh Raymond

Joshua Raymond has been coaching with BC Bounce for over three years, working across camps, recreational leagues, and girls’ club teams. A lifelong basketball enthusiast, he grew up immersed in the game and continues to stay active through weekly scrimmages and men’s league play with friends. His passion for the sport is shared by his entire family—his wife and five children also enjoy and participate in BC Bounce programs, making it a meaningful part of their family life.

Joshua has two Bachelor's degrees from the University of the Fraser Valley, and has 20 years of experience supporting individuals with diverse special needs (currently practices as a special education teacher at the elementary level). His deep understanding of diverse learners and commitment to inclusive growth translate seamlessly to the court. He is passionate about building a positive team culture rooted in a growth mindset, self-reflection, and collaboration.
Looking ahead, Joshua plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling to further support the next generation of athletes—both on and off the court.

Taylor Ewert

Taylor Ewert has been part of the BC Bounce program for over a decade—first as a player in the rec league and girls’ club program, and later as a dedicated coach. Over the years, she has coached in BC Bounce’s rec leagues, summer camps, and girls’ club teams, serving as head coach for age groups ranging from U10 to U17. Since January 2025, Taylor has taken on the role of Director of the Girls’ Club Basketball Program, where she is committed to advocating for the continued growth and development of female athletes within the organization.

Having grown up in the BC Bounce program, Taylor is deeply passionate about teaching the fundamentals of basketball and helping players build both skill and confidence. Her favorite part of coaching is forming meaningful relationships with her athletes and serving as a positive female role model—both on and off the court.

Outside of basketball, Taylor graduated from Trinity Western University with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and is currently pursuing certification with the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) to become a registered kinesiologist
